The Last Defenders #2 Review

Recently reviewed by me at CBR: The Last Defenders #2, in which I write the following sentence: "this series does a better job balancing the laughs with the substance than any other Giffen work in recent memory, so clearly Casey is doing something right."

This has gone from a book that I picked up due to Nevitt's Casey love to something I think I'm really going to miss when it's over.

As hard as it is to create chemistry between a set of characters, I think it must be equally hard to create "un"-chemistry as well. I mean, I don't think you can just say, "Here's a bunch of characters you've never seen together before. They can't possibly get along!" It's got to take an in-depth knowledge of characters and characterization and Casey's definitely got that.

SHIT! And none of you have ever spelled my name with a "k", despite that being the norm.

Sorry.
