The Splash Page Podcast, Episode 2.2: Crying, Reviewing

It's time for ANOTHER episode of the Splash Page podcast. This thing is like crack and Chad Nevett and I are injecting it straight into your geeky veins. Three times this week! I know, you'd better be careful.

In this episode, it's me talking "Cry for Justice," a bunch of talk about how we approach reviews, and I'm sure plenty of other stuff. I don't know, I haven't listened to the whole thing yet, but I know it's genius.

This is the part where you discussed Bendis, right?

I have to say that I totally subscribe to the view that his Daredevil is by far his best work at Marvel. It's literally (scientifically) a trillion times better than his Avengers stuff. Most of my disappointment with his (chatty, severely decompressed) Marvel work of the past few years comes from having read the whole Daredevil run in '05. It's so good, consistent, solid and thoughtful. That the same guy is just doing "eh...okay" stuff is sad to me.

Great podcasts. I'm really enjoying these. It's rare to get a comics podcast that puts forth critical views. And I don't mean 'critical' as in 'negative' necessarily.

But if you guys start hawking comic storage boxes, advertising for the Springfield Comic Convention, or kissing Geoff Johns' ass once he gives you an interview...I'm checking out. ;)

Speaking for myself and Tim, I can safely say that we will 'sell out' at the first chance we get. First offer we get, we're taking it. Hell, if someone wants my half of the podcast/column, I'll entertain offers now...
