I dunno; having read the first two volumes of Sin City recently, and for the first time, I think *that* owes a lot to Kirby. A lot a lot.

These are my favorite WWC columns -- the ones where you shine light onto the overlooked gems of comics. Nice.

I dig how you can find the major beats of the entire New Gods mythology in the cycle of the new destroying the old. The Old Gods destroyed to make way for the New Gods, Darkseid prophesized to be killed by the son Orion. Great execution by the writer and artist. I would love to see more six-page vignettes done by top-tier talent. A Mister Miracle origin by Warren Ellis and Mike Allred? Forever People by Matt Fraction and Paul Pelletier?
