Siege #4 Review

Yes, it's time for me to get back to linking to all my reviews, so you can keep up with the most accurate and informative and exciting and sometimes typo-laden opinion in comic books.

Today, I'll spotlight my review of "Siege" #4. It's a comic I read. It's basically Marvel's version of the final paragraph of the Gettysburg Address, covered with salsa, and thrown into the end zone into the arms of a free Plaxico Burress.

3 1/2 stars? you are too kind. The art was great, loved the double page spread of the ol golden avenger armor...but the story was typical bad cross over Bendis style...great concept poor execution. It was better than SI mainly due to good art, but what is with Bendis leaving out all these great things that could have happened...the "seige" of Asgard could've taken much longer with shifting alliances and great character moments...instead its a hasty slugfest filled with plotholes.

I am looking forward to secret avengers though...

But the concept wasn't "Siege of Asgard" at all. It was, "everything falls apart for Norman Osborn."

Disclaimer: I haven't read Siege at all, but based on what I've noticed in Bendis's writing over the last few years, the review I read on Comics Bulletin strikes a chord with me. Basically, everything is fine on a surface level until you start to actually THINK about anything at all, and then the whole thing falls apart. I'm not from Comics Bulletin or anything, but I'd be interested to know your response to their criticisms.
