As part of my Great Comic Book Reorganization efforts, I'm selling some comics on eBay!
You want some classic Jack Kirby Silver Age action? You can get it.
Jim Steranko? Yup.
Paul Pope? Absolutely.
Jerry Ordway and Todd McFarlane? Um, yes, but this list gets less impressive as it goes along, doesn't it. Yes!
Jim Aparo's pretty great, though, right? Jim? Aparo? "Batman and the Outsiders? No? YES!
Anyway, I offer a link to my aBay auctions because I want to sell this stuff to people I love and admire. Bid away, my friends, and if you're a Geniusboy Firemelon regular and you end up winning any of these auctions, let me know, and I'll throw in some other free comics as a bonus!

The Busiek/Perez run you're selling stops basically where I stopped buying the title as well. Are these just the issues you're selling or is it another weird case of our minds acting as one -- even when we didn't know one another?
Yup, that's where I stopped.
Maybe it just started completely sucking at that point. I don't even remember anything about that series except -- Morgan Le Fay! Ms. Marvel is a drunk! Squadron Supreme! Um...did stuff happen after that?
Ultron! A bunch of Juggernauts! Kulan Gath and a bird-lady that I didn't care about at all!
You made it farther into that Avengers run then I did. I stopped after the Ultron story. And I'll probably bid on the Pope stuff. My total lack of interest in Wednesday Comics has me thinking what a brain dead heathen I am for not being familiar with his work whatsoever.
Hmmm.... I've never read that Busiek/Perez Avengers run, so I might take a shot on that. I have 100% in both floppies and hardcover, but for some inexplicable (and probably unforgiveable) reason have never read Heavy Liquid, so depending on how pricey it gets I might take a chance on it too.
I might actually buy those Outsiders comic... I'm slowly becoming a Batman "completist" and I have absolutely no Batman and the Outsiders comics.
I'm worried about how cheap you're selling them though. Is the series kind of lame or what?
On an unrelated note, thank you so much for recommending Asterios Polyp, Tim. It's just lovely.
And could you please start posting your WWC columns here so we can discuss them? Thanks!
So yeah... I tried for the Captain America #100 but I kept getting outbid. I'd go higher but unfortunately I'm dirt poor right now.
I was the first bid for the Paul Pope stuff. Let's try and keep it that way, people.
I'll start posting links to my reviews and columns here again. I didn't realize people actually liked those links -- I was just using them to meet my self-imposed "daily update" promise. But they shall return starting this weekend!
I like "Batman and the Outsiders" a lot. Especially the Aparo art. It's very thin on characterization and it's a new villain each month (mostly), but that's typical of Bronze Age comics. I have the complete run, but I have duplicates of this Outsiders stuff I'm selling. I recommend it, and not just because I can make five bucks off of it.
Well, I liked the links to have a comment section. Unless you'd like me to just comment on a WWC column or review on some other post, but those would be hard to find, right?
Oh, yeah, speaking of that, since Blackest Night and the first Preacher hardcover are coming out next week, have you thought of a Preacher WWC or a WWC on hero deaths?
I don't think I have anything to say about character deaths. Hmmm...nope. They die and come back. That's about it.
Preacher, though? I'd have to reread my issues since I only read it as it was being serialized. But it was good! I'm sure I could say something about it. Not anytime soon, though. Maybe by the fall.
Ack! I forgot about the auction. Did the Outsiders comic sell?
Matthew N, check your e-mail! I sent you a message. (It might be in your spam folder.)
