Recently reviewed by me at CBR: Eternals #5 about which I write the following sentences: "'Eternals' is the graphic narrative equivalent of NBC's 'Heroes.' Sure, we see more costumed characters on the pages, but the way the comic jumps from location to location and from slow-as-molasses subplot to subplot feels just like the first season of Tim Kring's television show. I stuck with that show until the season one finale, but I don't think I'll be sticking with this comic book for that long. It's not just that so little happens, it's that what does happen seems imposed and unimportant. A character in issue #5 gets beaten to a pulp, and has his back broken, and we don't even really know why. Yet that's the only major event in the past five months of the series. Other than that, it's a lot of anxious characters talking about what's to come, and a lingering sense of doom that does nothing to illuminate the lives of these proto-gods in any way."Read the entire review HERE.

Actually, they're supposed to be speaking Portuguese, but it's some of the worst, most incomprehensible Portuguese I've ever read. It's like the Knaufs ran the original English lines through Babelfish or some other crappy automatic translator.
As a Brazillian, those jumbled Portuguese lines really took me out of the story, which I was actually enjoying. The editor or the Knaufs should have asked one of the many Brazillian artists who work for Marvel to translate the dialogue or at least check their translation. I hope they don't keep embarassing themselves and fix it for the trade.
And, see, they were trying to be creative and NOT use Spanish, and that's what they get.
Daniel Acuna art sure is pretty though.
