Captain Britain and MI:13 #1 Review

Recently reviewed by me at CBR: Captain Britain and MI: 13 #1, about which I write the following sentence: "'Captain Britain and MI:13' is a splendid new series, and the second issue can't come soon enough."

Because of your praise of Wisdom, I wound up picking this issue up. Good stuff. Although, I will admit that I'm used to a more bastardy Pete Wisdom since I've only read Ellis doing the character.

Tim, is it odd that I see the entire state of online mainstream comic fandom summed up in the previous comment by our nameless friend?

The anonymous commentator demanding--without any use of grammar or punctuation--that the writer not discuss "fringe" work--and note that the "fringe" work is still mainstream, of course--and, instead, concentrate on the large franchise character.

Except, instead of being directed at a creator, it's now directed at a critic. Odd. The "fanboy" behaviour is spreading, Tim. I'm a little scared, I must admit.

And bored. Oh so bored.

Oh anonymous, don't listen to Chad. I love your anonymous demands.

And, in fact, I specifically declined to review Batman this week so someone else at CBR could do their take on the book, but nobody else wanted to review it, so I guess I'll review it after all. Maybe tomorrow.

Because I, unlike Chad, appreciate your eloquent and beautiful anonymity.

(so get back to the joe casey analysis nevett!)
