This has gone from a book that I picked up due to Nevitt's Casey love to something I think I'm really going to miss when it's over.
As hard as it is to create chemistry between a set of characters, I think it must be equally hard to create "un"-chemistry as well. I mean, I don't think you can just say, "Here's a bunch of characters you've never seen together before. They can't possibly get along!" It's got to take an in-depth knowledge of characters and characterization and Casey's definitely got that.
